WHAT IS MEDICAL MASSAGE
Healing Beyond the Surface
Medical massage integrates advanced therapeutic techniques to target specific conditions, alleviate pain, and restore optimal function. It is a specialized, results-driven approach designed to treat chronic pain, injuries, and movement restrictions. Unlike relaxation massage, this therapy uses advanced techniques like deep tissue work, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and stretching to help restore mobility, reduce pain, and support healing.
WHY 2 HOURS
Unrushed, Intentional, a Designed for Real Healing
I don’t offer quick fixes—true healing takes time. A 2-hour session allows me to fully assess your concerns, work through deep muscle layers without rushing, and integrate multiple techniques to ensure long-lasting relief. This unrushed, comprehensive approach is essential for those needing focused therapeutic work beyond a standard session.

FAQs
Medical massage is more focused on treating specific pain and mobility issues, rather than general relaxation. Sessions are tailored to address conditions like chronic pain, postural imbalances, injuries, and tension-related disorders.
I use deep pressure, but it’s always adjusted to your comfort level. Some discomfort may occur when working on problem areas, but the goal is effective relief—not excessive pain.
I work closely with you to ensure the pressure is effective yet tolerable, adjusting as needed based on your feedback. Some areas may feel tender, especially if there’s significant tension, but the goal is to promote relief, not create unnecessary pain. Communication is key to a productive and comfortable session.
The frequency of medical massage depends on your specific needs and treatment goals:
-
Acute Pain or Injury Recovery: 1-2 times per week until symptoms improve, then gradually reduce frequency.
-
Chronic Conditions (e.g., back pain, migraines, postural issues): Every 2-4 weeks to manage symptoms and maintain progress.
-
Preventive Care & Maintenance: Once a month to support mobility, reduce tension, and prevent future issues.
-
High-Stress Periods or Intense Training: More frequent sessions (weekly or bi-weekly) may be beneficial.
I’ll work with you to create a personalized plan based on how your body responds to treatment.

Medical massage is beneficial for individuals dealing with:
- Chronic Pain: Conditions like fibromyalgia, arthritis, and persistent back or neck pain.
-Injury Recovery: Soft tissue injuries, sports-related strains, or post-surgical rehabilitation.
- Postural Imbalances: Issues from prolonged sitting, poor ergonomics, or repetitive strain.
- Nerve-related Conditions: Sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome, or thoracic outlet syndrome.

- Joint Mobility Issues: Limited range of motion due to scar tissue or muscular restrictions.

Depending on your needs, I may incorporate deep tissue, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, stretching, IASTM muscle scraping, Dolphin Neurostim, CBD oil, and kinesiotaping to enhance results.
I don’t accept insurance, but HSA/FSA cards may be used. Some clients have reported that their HSA no longer covers massage due to business categorization, so I recommend checking with your provider.
