How often should I get a Brazilian lymphatic massage?

The frequency of manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) can vary depending on your individual needs and goals. Generally, for maintenance and wellness, MLD can be done once every 1-4 weeks. However, if you are using MLD for a specific condition such as lymphedema, post-surgery recovery, or detoxification, I may recommend more frequent sessions, possibly several times a week.

Are there any side effects?

Afterward, some individuals might encounter mild side effects, like heightened urination or bowel movements, which are typically temporary and tend to diminish within a few hours. As MLD helps eliminate toxins from the body, you may experience increased thirst. It's important to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. Some people may feel tired or fatigued after MLD. This is usually temporary and should improve with rest.
