CBD is Now the Best Route to a Better Quality Life

CBD helped my aunt throw away her prescription pain pills! Every where I go, I see a new CBD shop. They’re popping up like gas stations and Starbucks. I was very skeptical at first because of course I didn’t want to be giving my aunt marijuana. By reading, doing a little research and delving into this new craze, I’ve made some pretty significant changes to improve my quality of life and I got to share this with my aunt who has Multiple Sclerosis and Fibromyalgia. I want to answer some questions about what CBD is and its benefits along with where you can find it.

Just like anything, you want to do your own research. I wish we thought this way when it comes to prescription meds, but we’ve been taught to trust our doctors. If you value being alive, do your own research of the types of medicine your doctor is prescribing you. I’m hoping this will answer your questions as much as possible and lead you in the right direction for trying CBD out for yourself and your own general well being.

What is CBD? CBD is short for cannabidiol. It is a non-psychoactive part of the cannabis or hemp plant and will NOT get you “high.”

How it works CBD has to be extracted from the plant. When you’re using the cannabinoids, it binds to receptors all throughout the body with the majority of them being in the brain. This can have an effect on pain, appetite, energy, metabolism, memory, and much more.

Is it legal? CBD is legal as long as it has less than 0.3% THC concentration. Last year, the bill was signed in Texas. This now allows for the selling of CBD and the cultivation of hemp. The best thing about this is that you don’t need to have a prescription!

How much to take There isn’t a dosage guideline for taking CBD oil. Some products have recommendations. For the most part, its all up to you.

My Experience

I’ve taken CBD plenty of times but I am still no expert. In my experience, I find that it does help with pain, insomnia, and anxiety. My first time taking CBD was a few years ago. I ordered these gummies from www.diamondcbd.com. They helped me sleep. I was having a hard time getting to sleep at night. I wake up early and tire myself out all day and still not be able to sleep. My stress levels were super high at the time. I took 3 gummies before bed and would sleep all night. I took them to a family reunion and shared them with my uncle who was suffering from the same thing. The next morning I gifted him the rest of the pack because he said that was the first time in a long time that he remembered what it was like to sleep like a baby. I then started recommending these to my clients who needed better quality sleep. I try to take a solo trip to California once a year to get away from Dallas. A few years ago, my cousin came along on this vacation. We decided to experience a dispensary for the first time. They had security at the door. We had to show our ID’s for verification and they scan them into your system. We got a discount for being first time shoppers. I got a disposable CBD vape pen, CBD dog treats, CBD chap stick, and CBD capsules. The capsules from Procana worked wonders for my cramps. I didn’t have to use any other remedies.

  1. I would pass this vape place on the way home from work everyday. I was cramping pretty badly and I wanted to see if they had anything that could help me. I try not to take Advil (the only over the counter medication that works for me in this condition) anymore due to its effects on the liver. The guy behind the counter greeted me quickly as I was the only one in the store. I asked for CBD products and he showed me the whole shebang. They had gummies, oil, vapes, ointments, suckers, and joints. Somehow, I let him talk me into the pre-rolled joint. I got two different ones because he said the quality was different and that I should try them out for myself. I went home and lit the joint. It smells exactly like marijuana. So if you don’t want to smell like a skunk, don’t get the joint or don’t smoke it in a closed space. I only took a few puffs before noticing the difference in my cramps. They were fading away by the second. I was SOLD!

  2. The second time I tried CBD from that same shop was because I had some muscle pain due to overworking and didn’t want to take Advil again. This time I opted to try some gummies. I got the rainbow strip candy. They’re delicious, but I didn’t notice anything. Maybe I was just a smidgen more relaxed but not much. My biggest complaint was that I could still feel the pain.

  3. My boyfriend bought me tickets to see Ella Mai last March. Before going, we stopped by my parents house to grab something. I remembered having a panic attack at the last concert I went to (Damian Marley) and I didn’t want that to happen again. A month or so before, I gave my mom the same CBD oil tincture that I give my aunt so I asked if she had any left that I could take. I took a full dropper under my tongue and off to the concert we went. I didn’t have a panic attack and I didn’t feel uncomfortable in a room packed with people. I had a great time!

I recommend trying CBD for yourself if you’re not going to have drug test any time soon. Hopefully, you’ll find that it eases your symptoms. But you should know that these statements have not been evaluated by the FDA and are not intended to diagnose, treat or cure any diseases. Please check with your physician before using CBD or hemp products as a supplement.
